Gordon Smith wins Red Lodge Championship - 05/01/2010 22:02:20
Gordon Smith and his Wright Braga chassis have won the 2009 junior TKM championship at Red Lodge for the second time. Gordon, 16, won the 2009 championship with 2 wins, 9 podiums and 2 fastest laps out of the 12 finals. There were 19 in the JTKM championship with grids of up to 17 some months.
Gordon won the 2007 championship and was runner up in 2008, setting the Junior TKM lap record in the process, also on the Wright Braga chassis.
Fellow Wright kart drivers David Mortlock and Jess Newson finished 2nd and 7th respecively in the Senior Max category. Newson doing so without completing the entire racing calendar, due to spinal surgery
Congratulations to Gordon, David and Jess from all at SWRD, we look forward to more of the same in 2010.
